چکیده
Pulmonary artery aneurysm (PAA) is a rare disorder with difficult diagnosis and debated management in literature due to the limited number of cases. Even if definitive treatment PAA surgery, consistent guidelines still need be developed help surgeons determine when intervention appropriate. We report case 77-year-old female diagnosed central measuring 61 mm at contrast-enhanced computerized tomography scan which was treated surgically. The patient underwent successful elective complete pulmonary root replacement Medtronic Freestyle (Medtronic Inc, Minneapolis, MN) porcine root. Postprocedural recovery follow-up 12 months were uneventful.

Pulmonary artery aneurysm is a rare lesion of the thoracic cavity. Different etiologies have been reviewed, but idiopathic lesions without other symptoms are seldom reported. Usually, surgical interventions are suggested, but the long-term outcomes are not well established. Here, we report a 24-year-old man with main pulmonary artery aneurysm who successfully underwent aneurysmectomy and polyte...

We present a 70-year--old man who had a past medical history of dilated idiopathic pulmonary artery, incidentally diagnosed at the age of 23 years. He was asymptomatic until a year ago when he was admitted for an episode of anginal chest pain in the context of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. At rapid rates, he showed pathological ST segment descent. A coronary angiography showed a slight stenos...

Idiopathic dilatation of the pulmonary artery (IDPA) is a rare congenital heart disease. It has been described for almost one hundred years, and numerous definitions have been proposed. The IDPA diagnostic criteria have not been updated for years. Secondary to primary disease, pulmonary artery aneurism was recognised as a lethal defect; however, long-term follow-up of patients with IDPA has not...

Case Presentation This is a 58-year-old woman with Marfan syndrome, FBN1 mutation c.6423delG, who, in 2004, was found to have a dilated main pulmonary artery (MPA) on chest x-ray performed for cough and wheezing.
